Michael G. DeGroote Pain Symposium

Each year, the Institute for Pain Research and Care holds its annual Michael G. DeGroote Pain Symposium.

The target audience of the symposium is clinical researchers, basic scientists, behavioural scientists, rehabilitation scientists, residents, students and other healthcare professions.

Learning objectives include:

  • Sharing cutting edge evidence as it relates to persistent post-surgical pain and acquiring knowledge in this area
  • Discussion of challenges and future directions regarding the study of persistent post-surgical pain

The 2020 and 2021 Persistent Post-Surgical Pain Symposia were cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
