Annual Chronic Post-surgical Pain Symposium

Each year, the Michael G. DeGroote Institute for Pain Research and Care holds its annual Chronic Post-Surgical Pain Symposium.

The target audience of the symposium is clinical researchers, basic scientists, behavioural scientists, rehabilitation scientists, residents, students and other healthcare professions.

Learning objectives include:

  • Sharing cutting edge evidence as it relates to persistent post-surgical pain and acquiring knowledge in this area
  • Discussion of challenges and future directions regarding the study of persistent post-surgical pain

The 2020 and 2021 Persistent Post-Surgical Pain Symposia were cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The 7th Annual Symposium took place on April 9, 2022. Click here to view the proceedings.
