The vision of the Institute for Pain Research and Care is to bring together behavioural, clinical and basic scientists to develop a new understanding of the origin, mechanisms and treatment of chronic pain. This includes future generations of pain researchers. To help achieve this vision, the Institute has created a network of trainees, with an interest in pain research, to help foster mentor/mentee relationships, create awareness surrounding award opportunities and nurture interdepartmental collaborations, as well as create new educational and networking opportunities.
